I've been living in lower Nob Hill over a while now and still don't have a favourite cafe. I'd like to know where people go in the neighborhood for their cup of coffee on a Saturday afternoon.

Tue, January 20, 2004 - 1:48 PMI like the Gallery Cafe on Mason and Washington (across from the Cable Car Musuem). There are more cafes on the South side of the hill, but I haven't found one I'm particularly into.

Sat, January 31, 2004 - 1:10 PMI live right across from Cup a Joe on Sutter and Leavenworth, we call it the "Tender Nob" area, when the sun comes out, it's a great place to meet your neighbors. I also like Cafe Bean a block down on Sutter and Jones, it's owned by a Dutch couple and one of the only places to get a good European breakfast. -

Sat, February 28, 2004 - 12:05 AMCafe Bean at S&J is definitely good for the quick ones. Roma in North Beach is comfy, a nice walk from Nobbers too, and they have free Wi-Fi. Or, walk to Polk for a nice selection of coffee joints. Or... back to North Beach for brunch/coffee/mimosas at Enrico's :)

Re: Cafe
Sun, August 15, 2004 - 1:42 AMHey you know what - about 3-4 months ago the Chameleon opened uo over at Pacific and Leavenworth. Great coffee, food, even a small and yummy menu of hot foods, and lovely people. All that and WiFi too. Been starting my days there for the last couple of months; highly recommended. Say hi if you see me - I'm the one swearing at the computer.
